      About

W.I.H.S.H. projects is a space that takes aesthetic thinking seriously. That’s to say, we focus on work that explores and refracts the orientational modalities of its contemporary world(s) newly, as experiential matrices sustained through form

We aim to facilitate sustained conversations between artists

W.I.H.S.H. stands for Why is Heen so heavy?

Heen is a small old dog that appears in a Miyazaki movie. He is, inexplicably, heavy, which we learn when someone tries to carry him up a flight of stairs.

W.I.H.S.H. is located in a basement in West Humboldt Park, Chicago. Shows can be seen on opening and closing days, during open hours, and at other times by appointment, except during the summer (closed). Please send us an email if you are interested in viewing a show.
